Vault Objectives

Welcome to the fan-site that provides useful information on the Minecraft Modpack known as Vault Hunters: 3rd Edition! Vault Hunters is an action-rpg style modpack that places focus on running vaults, timed dungeons with a main objective, and completing them for a change to get an artifact. Collecting 25 unique artifcats is required to be able to access the final vault, where you can defeat the final boss of the mod pack! Don't worry however, as more content is planned for after this final boss known as "greed", but it has yet to be implemented into the game.

Below, you'll find every vault objective that currently exists in the game, how to complete the objective, as well as some tips and tricks on how to complete these objectives.

Image of a Monolith The monolith objective is the first objective the player will encounter in any playthrough. The goal is simple, find monoliths that are scattered throughout the vault, and return to the exit portal to complete the vault. Simple exploration and looting strategies should allow you to cover enough rooms to find the amount of monoliths needed to complete the objective. As you level up, there will be more monoliths to find to complete the vault.
Image of an Elixir Lodestone The Elixir Rush is the next objective that can be encountered at level 10 in any playthrough, or by crafting the seal of the sage. The goal is to collect elixir which is then shown on the top of the screen via a progress bar. Once the bar is full, the player must find a lodestone to complete the vault. To gain elixir, the player must loot chests, mine ores, and kill mobs. Different chest types and enemies will award differing amounts of elixir, which changes every elixir vault, and is unique for every player within the same vault. When someone has completed their elixir progress, they can assist others who haven't completed their elixir bar yet.
Image of a Scavenger Turn-in Table One of the most common, and often regarded hardest objectives, is the Scavenger Hunt objective, found naturally at level 20. Each player will be given a list of items on the top of their screen, as well as an icon near the item indicating what loot table the item can be found in. The available loot tables are: Mobs, Wooden Chests, Living Chests, Gilded Chests, Ornate Chests, Coin Piles, and Vault Ores. There are 4 items per loot table, each with a varying rarity. When the player finds the necessary amount of required items, they must submit them to a scavenger table to show progress. Submitting every required item automatically completes the vault. Using a specific specializaiton of Hunter can help pinpoint specific loot tables.
Image of an Obelisk At level 50, the player can start naturally finding the Hunt the Guardians objective. This objective is focused on finding obelisks throughout the vault, and activating them to summon a pre-determined amount of Vault Guardians. There are two types of these guardians, ones with axes that have more health, but can only attack in melee range, and those that have crossbows, which are pretty light on the health side, but can continously fire arrows at you. To properly deal with the guardians, it's reccommended to use a damage boosting ability and/or any large AOE attacks that can damage most of them at once. The plus side of fighting these guradians, is that they don't deal durability damage to any gear.
Image of a Cake The last objective that currently exists in the game is the Cake Hunt objective. The player has to navigate through a vault that only builds itself when a cake is found. Each room spawns with one cake, and the edges of your screen begin to glow pink when you get closer to said cake. Activating the cake will continue to construct the vault, as well as add some modifiers that increase item quantity and rarity, as well as increase the amount of health and damage mobs have / deal. In order to complete the vault, the player must find a Crake Pedestal and activating it will automatically finish the vault. Each room has a 10% to have a Crake Pedestal.
Question Mark There are more objectives that plan to be added in future updates. Iskall85, the lead developer of Vault Hunters has said that he wanted to have some sort of Raid Vault objective added, possibly a vault where players have to defend against mobs that enter from every room entrance. He also stated that a BINGO Vault would be amazing, most likely meaning that there would be smaller objectives to complete, like looting a certain amount of chests, or killing a certain type of mob, to eventually make a BINGO on a given bingo card. It has also been leaked by Iskall that there will be a new beacon objective making its way eventually to the game. Any further info on this objective is unknown.
